Prunning is a diverging process and can be useed to maintain any desired plant size. There are a number of prunning and grafting which are differ from one specie to another and also from one cultivator to the other. The purpose of this course is to inform the students about basic principles of prunning and grafting as well as their types, prunning and grafting tools, sanitation principles and precautions are discussed too. The plant framework and organs are quite important in prunning and grafting. Each student is required to know them well. Fruit quantity and quality and effects of prunning and grafting are also discussed in the scope of the study. Finally root stocks and their importance in pomologus are discussed in detail as well. At the end of the course each student should be able to make his or her own decision on how to prune and do grafting on a given fruit species.
