Main objective of this course is to consolidate conceptual, historical and notional background of the students in the area of international politics. Within this context, it intends to elaborate on theoretical and empirical comprehension of world politics through improving critical methodical skills of the students to comprehend and explain the issues, structures and processes of international political order. The course is composed of the lectures, class discussions, weekly readings, written assignments and assessment of audiovisual materials such as documentaries and political movies for providing an interactive groundwork for in-depth analysis and discussion the main topics of the international politics. Basing on a profound analysis of the scholarly revision of the international politics, these topics will include comparative assessment of theories of world politics, their contribution to analytical elaboration of issues in world politics such as environmental issues, nuclear proliferation, nationalism, culture, humanitarian intervention, regional integration, communications, development gender and human rights. In addition the course aims to deepen knowledge and awareness of the students on the structures and processes of the world politics such as security, political economy, regimes, diplomacy, international legal mechanism and their operations, transnational interactions and functioning of international organizations.
