The aim of this course is to teach dental terminology, the anatomy and morphology of all permanent teeth, primary dentition, the numbering systems and dental notations, tooth development, dental lobes, temporomandibular joint and the basic concepts of occlusion. The gains of this course are: Knows dental terminology. Identifies each permanent anterior teeth. Identifies each permanent premolar teeth. Identifies each permanent molar teeth. Learns the properties, morphology and the functions of permanent maxillary teeth. Learns the properties, morphology and the functions of permanent mandibular teeth. Knows general properties of primary dentition. Understands the development of teeth. Understands dental numbering systems. Understands the importance of TMJ for prosthodontics, and learns the basic concepts of occlusion.
