International Human Rights Law course will introduce students to the basic concepts of human rights, history of human rights law, domestic and international protection mechanisms and several selected topics in human rights. The course will cover a variety of international and regional human rights mechanisms such as the very well known European Court of Human Rights but will also provide a comparative perspective by studying the African and Inter-American models of human rights protection. 

At the end of the course the students are expected to be able to have a human rights approach towards legal problems they will be required to resolve both in their academic and professional life
