This course is for interior architects to emphasize the importance of ergonomics and anthropometric data in design. To research and design for the various interfaces between the human body and the various components of interior space and their dimensional relationships will be studied. The main topics of the course are: The place and purpose of Human Factors in architectural and Interior Design Education; The Dimensions of Human Beings; The needs of the human beings who are going to use buildings; Human dimensions and relationship between the human and furniture in order to increase productivity in space; During the design process the subjects of area, volume, the need of oxygen, light, temperature, sun-light and view should be considered.
