This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the principles, concepts, processes and procedures pertaining to the topic of Total Quality Management (TQM). It will present the various TQM frameworks, concepts, and quality improvement tools necessary for implementing the quality culture that characterizes world-class organizations of the 21st century. TQM is a comprehensive and fundamental philosophy for leading and operating an organization, aimed at continually improving performance over the long term by focusing on customers while addressing the needs of all stakeholders. Its basic aim is to reduce waste, increase quality, ensure total customer satisfaction, and ultimately, strengthen competitive advantage.
