The objectives are to make the students sensitive to social needs and problems and enable them to critically analyze problems and select the appropriate means of problem solving, to understand and apply the social work methods to deal with such needs and problems, to begin to acquire skills of social work intervention in human needs, situations and issues, to become aware of and understand one’s strengths and weaknesses and to develop the right values and attitudes essential for a professional social worker. The field observations may be structured through visits followed by discussions.
