The Research Methods in Communication focuses on the research techniques used in social sciences in general and mass communication in particular. The goal of this course is to acquaint students with basic concepts and tools of research. In this framework, students will learn how to identify research problems, define research questions and hypotheses, and select and use major research methods. The course will also focus on other research methods in communication such as critical and cultural methods. The course will improve your understanding of communication from different research perspectives. The course discusses the ways and stages leading to a scientific study in the field of communication, as well as the concepts and methods of research, and students are provided to apply these stages in their own research projects.
