This course is designed extend students’ knowledge of television production, primarily in a studio environment. Theoretical sessions will instruct students in the principles of television direction, writing and performance, as well as the properties of key video and audio equipment. Practical sessions will allow students to produce short, studio-based television programs. Working in groups, they will create scripts for various non-fictional formats and then produce them, experiencing the roles of director and camera operator, as well as performing in front of the camera.
