The aim of this course is to give students basic theoretical and practical information about massage techniques, to teach basic concepts in terms of evaluation and application in different situations where massage is used, to improve their application ability and to improve their problem-solving skills in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Within the scope of this course, basic information about the reflex, mechanical, physiological and clinical effects of massage methods and techniques are given; Practicing therapeutic massage applications. The physiological basis of connective tissue massage and the diseases used in this massage are examined in detail. Evidence-based information about different massage practices is evaluated on the basis of current literature. The students who take this course develop their practical knowledge of massage, the correct use of massage in diseases, and the competence of its place in treatment programs.
