ELTE 455 is designed to focus on analyzing and comparing the structures and the communicative features of Turkish and English languages, defining and practicing the intermediate and advanced concepts and techniques of translation and practice them through various sample texts. The course ultimately aims at enabling the students to transfer the skills they master during the course to the future ELT environment. This course further aims at providing the students with a general concept and nature of language(s), with the ability to solve problems they may encounter in their future careers and to create and freely express their own opinions.
