Advanced Pharmacognosy-II

In this course plant kingdom as source of medicine will be studied. Production of crude drugs will be introduced.The Chemistry of Important group of natural products mainly carbohydrates, glycocides, alkaloides and volatile oil containing will be studied. Information about the Therapeutic uses of plant originated crude drugs will be given. Identification methods of chemical compounds are applied together with botanical examination of powdered botanical drugs.
