The course is projected for design students to refresh their knowledge on elementary geometry, geometric configuration study, properties of geometric shapes and forms, geometric construction and to apply this knowledge in design process. It includes equations of lines, planes and volumes, equations of circles and conic sections; resolution of triangles; quadratic surfaces; polar coordinates and gridal systems. It also offers the subjects of dimension, proportion, scale and golden section. It aims to improve the knowledge of the students about the relation of geometric shapes and forms, ability of geometric analysis of designing objects and realization of composition. Students comprehend and design geometrical patterns.
