Clinical pharmacy is a branch of pharmacy that involves the provision of patient care with the use of medications to optimize the health outcomes of patients. The content of the course includes clinical pharmacy practices in community and hospital pharmacies, professional clinical pharmacy services in clinics such as cardiology, geriatrics, pediatrics, oncology, internal diseases, and infectious diseases, the role of the pharmacist in a multidisciplinary patient approach, and patient-based drug counseling. The activities of Drug Information Centers, Central Antineoplastic Drug Preparation and Total Parenteral Nutrition Units, Psychiatry Pharmacy, Intensive Care Pharmacy, Pediatrics Pharmacy, Nuclear Pharmacy, Nutrition Support Pharmacy are included in the scope of the course. The lectures in the course are conducted in a case-based discussion format.
