The course will focus on the use of orthoses, indications, applications, modifications, possible complications of orthosis, planning and application of appropriate treatment program to increase the effectiveness of orthosis rehabilitation and the ability to solve specific problems. At the end of this course students will be able to control the orthosis and observe the necessity of modification, choose the appropriate orthotics, make evaluations before and after the orthotics, aware of different orthotic materials and ready products, give necessary suggestions during the use of orthotics and understand the importance of systematics. In this course, common pathologies of foot, control and treatment methods, indications of long walking orthoses, common orthosis applications, spinal deformity orthoses (scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis), spinal pathology orthoses (vertebral fractures, instability) will be discussed.
