This course will involve about the city, urbanization, institutional structure of planning relations and the impact and role of socio-cultural and environmental proceses on formation of urban setup. Urban planning and design: definition of the city, its development, components, analysis of the city, land-use plan, transportation plan and administrative issues. Probing these learning and the analytical and functional approach principles, norm and standards of planning in relation to space and architecture through various examples; and to acquaint the student with the models that rest on contemporary theories. The course employs lectures, field trips, design exercises on city planning and urban design.
