This course introduces students to principal concepts of organic chemistry. By the end of course students will gain an understanding of the reactivity and stability of organic molecule based on structure, including conformation and stereochemistry; an understanding of nucleophile, electrophile, electronegativity and resonance; the predictions of mechanisms for organic reactions; how to use their understanding of organic mechanisms to predict the outcome of reactions and how to design syntheses of organic molecules.
