The course covers the topics of; general laboratory safety procedures and rules, introduction to general laboratory materials and glasswares used in environmental and biotechnology related studies, applications and operation of analytical and coarse balance and sampling techniques, application and operation of automatic pipettes, preparation of stock and diluted sample solutions and utilization of hood, applications and operations of pH-meter, applications and operations of oven, incubator and stirrer, applications and operations of centrifuge, cleaning procedures of glasswares and laboratory equipment and applications of several portable devices (Termostat, UV-visible spectrometer, Conductimeter, Turbidimeter) used in environmental and biotechnology related studies.
