This course aims to build confidence in the drawing ability of students through the introduction of various rendering and presentation techniques. The skills gained in this course are expected to help students clearly express their ideas and concept in design project. Within this scope, the students shall be introduced with various media such as pencils, felt-tip pens, water colors, etc. and will be encouraged to exercise with different techniques of shading, stippling, and cross-hatching, provide value, tone and contrast, as well as shade and shadow to enhance the geometric form of an object and overall sense or impression of a project. Students shall be guided on issues such as effectively placing the representation of trees (and other vegetation), people and vehicles, and understanding the importence of composition within a drawing and the consistency and continuity of compozition within a set of drawings.
