Infection control will be needed within all parts of healthcare. This course gives a broad introduction to major global health problems with an emphasis on specific characteristics of infectious diseases, the risk factors of disease emergence and the implications for disease surveillance and control in public health, including epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical aspects, diagnostic methods, therapeutic management, prevention and the social context.
