The object of the course is to create general understanding among the students
in the subject of Molecular Biology. The students will have basic knowledge of
both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems. The students will learn about classics
molecular biology methodologies as well as new techniques to understand the
new findings of the genomic approach. It is expected that they will be more
confident to use the acquired knowledge in pursuing their future orientation as
pharmacists or in drug development and other industrial applications. Specifically the covered topics include: Nucleic acids, RNAs, Transcription and its regulation, Genome, Gene isolation, DNA technology.
