This interior design course aims to develop interior design students' design and research skills through the contemplation of design principles and appropriate construction systems and materials considering innovative technologies, vertical and horizontal circulation, accessibility, climate, building physics, lighting and furniture design. This is usually realized through restoration/renovation of existing medium scaled buildings where students are expected to develop self motivation, imagination through generation of ideas and concepts so that they do not only materialize their creative and manual graphic skills but also move towards the conception of their original personal styles within the formed 3D relations and the spatial quality.
