This course encourages students to combine skills from a range of studies to design and produce objects. Students work with a variety of tools to design, create and finish presentation models. By working with simple hand tools, metal shop machinery and painting equipment, students are expected to become familiar with techniques commonly employed in accurate scale model fabrication, assembly and finishing. Emphasis is placed on the production of useful process and presentation models.

30 days of practice in workshop exercises. Normally covers the applications in different ateliers related to their peculiarities in the use of man or machinery power, materials, details, proper technology choose decisions and organizations, timing and programming. Submission of a daily diary and a written report on experience will be required in accordance with the rules and regulations set by department.

The student is expected to make observations on the developing order, project application and designer/client relationships in a private or institutional design office. This course is ideal for anyone who wants to have a first go with clay and plaster or those that want to learn new techniques, including Beginners and Intermediate Clay, as well as Clay Sculpture and plaster molding techniques.
