The objective of the course is to develop the analytical skills that can be used to evaluate real-world investment projects. The course follows an integrated approach that allows the financial, economic, and stakeholder analysis to be is carried out within a consistent methodology. The emphasis will be on the use of economic principles to develop practical methods for the measurement of the benefits and costs of projects. In addition, the course will cover the measurement of the economic opportunity cost of public funds, the measurement of the economic opportunity cost of labor, and the social value of time savings.
