It is aimed to introduce the concepts and scope of gastronomy and culinary arts to the first-year students within the general framework. Students will have the opportunity to explore the relationship between gastronomy and other disciplines such as history, philosophy, religion, communication, politics, and social sciences. In this course, students will be able to evaluate cultural factors that affect people's perceptions of taste and food choices and will be able to use their findings and experiences during their research and decision-making stages.
