Within the scope of the course, environmental problems at oil well sites will be discussed in detail, and emphasis will be placed on
the type and level of toxicity of the contaminating inputs during drilling operations. Both on-shore and off-shore well sites will be on
the agenda of the course. Oil spills that are highly probable at well sites, in addition to the hazardous chemicals contained in mud
ponds and probable spills will be the basic topics to be covered along with adequate precaution methods and removal
methodologies. Oil and gas storage areas and probable spills on land and at sea will also be covered.
