This course introduces students and software professionals to the fundamental ideas in testing theory, testing techniques, testing practices, and quality assurance. Undergraduate students in software engineering, computer science, and computer engineering with no prior experience in the software industry will be introduced to the subject matter in a step-by-step manner.
The goals of the course are as follows:
1. To learn the importance of software process maturity & understand related concepts.
2. Understanding the specific roles within a software organization as related to project and process management
3. Understanding the basic infrastructure competencies (e.g., process modeling and measurement)
4. Understanding the basic steps of project planning, project management, quality assurance, and process management and their relationships.
