The aim of this course is to teach the therapeutic exercises used in physiotherapy in the pool environment and to teach the in-water treatment methods. Within the scope of this course, the physical properties of water, the basic features of aquatic exercise practices in the elderly, children and adults, in-water exercise therapy in shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist joint problems, in-water exercise therapy in hip, knee, foot and ankle joint problems, vertebral In this study, different and current in-water exercise treatments such as the Bad Ragaz Ring Method, Halliwick Method, Watsu and Aichi are examined on the basis of the literature, and programs to improve healthy physical fitness.
Within the scope of this course, the history of sports in handicapped people, general rules of paralympic games and sports facilities, disability definitions and classification, effects of exercise training for the disabled, physical fitness programs suitable for disabled people, dance activities in disabled people, appropriate sports activities in different disability groups, training programs in accordance with this scoring and sports branch will be defined and the definition of sports branches and physiotherapy and rehabilitation. At the end of this course, students will be able to know the sports that people with disabilities can do, comprehend physiological and functional differences of individuals with disabilities, recognize sports injuries that may occur in disabled people and decide on rehabilitation practices.

Through movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and somatic techniques, participants will develop the ability to sense, interpret, and respond to internal bodily cues with greater clarity and intention. Emphasis is placed on cultivating presence, improving posture and alignment, reducing stress, and enhancing physical and emotional well-being.

The main goal of the summer practice is to plan the patient-specific assessment and rehabilitation program for the students and to apply the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in various clinical settings. During the internship, the student will make the necessary evaluation and identification for physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications under the supervision of a physiotherapist. Patient-specific physiotherapy and rehabilitation program is written by consultant physiotherapist. Basic knowledge and skills about physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs are being watched. It is a 4-week program and the practice reports will be submitted to the department management for evaluation. The written report prepared during the evaluation is regarded as a general evaluation in the nature reflecting the contents of the internship.

The aim of this course is to understand mechanics and function of the appropriate prosthesis for the patient with amputee or congenital limb deficiencies, to plan the appropriate treatment program for amputees, to improve awareness about advanced technological applications in the field of prosthetics and rehabilitation. Necessary evaluations for planning rehabilitation stages as well as mechanical basis of prosthesis, types of prosthesis, gait problems in lower extremity amputees, early and temporary prosthesis applications, myoelectric prosthesis, advanced technological prosthesis applications and amputee rehabilitation. Upper extremity amputee rehabilitation, stages, appropriate physiotherapy approaches and prosthetic training, early and temporary prosthesis applications, advanced technological prosthesis applications in lower and upper extremity amputations are other aims of the course.

Neurological, orthopedic, rheumatic etc. Three-dimensional systems and advanced technology systems that benefit from physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications for patients with diseases, musculoskeletal and nervous system problems and healthy individuals are included. Physiotherapy and rehabilitation mainly include exercises, heat, electric currents, manual techniques, kinesiological banding. Together with developing technology, technological products have started to take place in physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications as well as in many areas. Robotic systems, motion-supporting technologies, web-based applications and video-based games are the most popular technology-based rehabilitation applications. Technology-based rehabilitation can be applied to all patient groups that require physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and to non-patient health care providers.
The main objective of the course is to improve the knowledge and skills of the students on the physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches in many internal diseases as cardiovascular, pulmonary, endocrine, gastrointestinal, immunologic, rheumatological, metabolic and psychiatric diseases. It gives students knowledge on internal diseases their etiology, pathogenesis and clinical judgement. Students will be able to analyse and summarise the effect of physiotherapy on the functional condition of patients with internal diseases. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to identify functional disorders of patients with internal diseases, examine and evaluate physical and functional condition, formulate objectives and tasks of physiotherapy, make and modify a plan of physiotherapy measures, deliver recommendations for patients and their family members.
