FREN112 is the second beginner level French language course which aims to facilitate recognition and production by students of basic written and oral expressions to describe themselves and people in their immediate environment through these concepts : colors, clothing items , physical attributes(tall, short, fat, skinny etc.), vocabulary for leisure activities( sports activities, cultural activities, hobbies etc. ), expressing preferences, open and closed questions, explanatory/justified responses, shopping vocabulary (alimentary items and other items, local commerce –butcher, grocer, bakery, green grocer etc.- ), ordering a meal at a restaurant/café (command/conditional form of verbs), lodging, expressing agreement/disagreement , regular( to dine, lunch, buy etc.) and irregular verbs (faire , aller etc.), feminin/masculin and plural/singular markers ( of: prepositions of place, quantifiers –some, any-, and question words).

This is an elementary level French language course which aims to facilitate recognition and production by students of elementary level written and oral expressions used for describing themselves, others and their immediate environment through these concepts : expressing future events ( le futur proche), talking about our tastes (our preferences), giving advice and instructions (devoir/falloir), expressing obligations, describing people’s appearance and personality, body parts, adjective placement and agreement, expressing past events (passé composé) with some regular and irregular verbs and using the auxiliary verbs être and avoir situating an action in the past, recounting a past event, negation in the past tense, indicate the frequency, vocabulary related to studies, holidays, film genres, public transportation, imperfect tense (recounting memories, past habits, describing a past situation), direct object pronouns.
