Course Aim: In this course, students will be able to
comprehend the concept of public relations, which has an important place in the
creation and maintenance of health institutions and their professional image
and reputation, its relations with other fields, its place and importance in
the organization; It is aimed to understand the place and importance of public
relations in the conduct of their profession (Nutrition
and Dietetics), and to gain the
knowledge and skills to plan and implement various public relations activities.
Course Coverage: The concept of public relations, the
development and adoption of public relations, public relations methods, basic
principles in public relations, tools used in public relations, relations with
the press in public relations, the public and the target audience in public
relations, the place of public relations in the health organization, public
relations campaigns, social behavior and protocol rules in business life.

Objective of the Course:
It is aimed that students have knowledge about theconcept of quality management in healthcare, definitions of quality, historical
development of quality studies in healthcare and international practices, quality
standards in health and patient-employee safety.
The learning outcome related with the implementation : They are expected to solve different problems by using their knowledge about the concept of quality management in health, definitions of quality, historical development of quality studies in health and international practices, quality standards in health and patient-employee safety.
At the end of this course, the student; can describe general definitions and concepts related to disasters/catastrophic events, list the causes and prevention methods of catastrophe, disaster and disaster culture, disaster management, emergency action, and evacuation plans, health and support services in extraordinary situations. In addition, they can distinguish standard features of exceptional situations, natural disasters, and man-made disasters, and list the epidemiological features of exceptional situations. Evaluate the health of individuals in disaster situations.
